Easy Handling – Great Experience!
The Regensburg Tourist Guide makes it easy for you to discover the sights of the World Heritage Site on your own. With a few clicks you will be guided from sight to sight in the city tour, with the help of interactive directions and Google maps. Arrived on site, start the respective “listen” button and your journey into the past begins! For a better hearing experience, we recommend wearing headphones.
To fully enjoy this guide, you will need to set your location in the Android settings (Settings – Location). With this approval, the tour guide recognizes your current location and shows you the shortest route to the nearest attraction on the integrated map. It doesn’t matter which sight you choose. Click on “Directions” to get a detailed list with distance and direction! If you don’t want to share your location, you can’t get the map (Google Maps) or directions because your mobile device can’t see where you are. The audio guide, i. e. the audio description, remains unaffected and can be used without restriction.

We do not store your data anonymously or otherwise. Nor do we track you.
Please pay attention:
After the location approval for the Regensburg city guide, roaming fees may be charged to your network provider, as data has to be downloaded from the network. You can inquire about the respective costs from your network operator.
Tour or individual destination guidance
The easiest way for you is to follow the tour through Regensburg. The tour starts with the St. Peter’s Cathedral and leads to the nearest 16 sights by short ways. Of course, you can also choose the order of the places of interest according to your personal wishes. The map recognizes your location and shows you the next sight of Regensburg by a blue mark. If you do not know where you are, click on “Reload map” and your location will be updated. Please always pay attention to the traffic on your routes! The routes often lead over busy roads!

Whether you choose the tour and hike from station to station or choose the places of interest according to your individual wishes – the app always shows you the right way!
In order for your mobile phone to be able to use this function, you must grant the app the “Location – Permission”. You will be prompted immediately after installing the app. If this is not the case, or if you have deactivated the location during a previous use, you can manually reactivate it in the settings. To do this, go to “Settings” and search for the menu item “Location”. Please note that the location approval can be found in different locations in the menu depending on the manufacturer. Also possible: In the menu you should find the menu item “Apps”, there you look for the “Regensburg Tourist” and give there the release.
